After finding evidence of the Assad regime using chemical weapons President Obama has announced the US will provide assistance to the Syrian rebels, while David Cameron and colleagues are yet to commit to doing the same.
The Conservative party is tortured by memories of the Bosnian conflict, and encouraged by Libya to intervene in a conflict that has claimed nearly 100,000 lives. Cameron says he wants to help the good elements of the Syrian opposition succeed. But will arming the rebels bring an end to the bloodshed, or make it worse?
