Description:

The media is full of stories that young people in Britain today are the unluckiest generation in recent history. Is it really true or do the millenials just need to stop whining?

While the crash of 2008 undoubtedly made it hard for many young people to find lucrative employment, the economy is now on the mend and organisations across the world are hunting for fresh talent. Far from being the ‘jilted generation’, maybe Generation Y have never had it so good…

Speaking for the motion were Paul Flatters, social trends analyst and Chief Executive of Trajectory Partnership and James Delingpole, contributing editor, The Spectator.

Making their case against the motion was David Lammy, Labour MP for Tottenham, Katie Morley, personal finance writer, Investors Chronicle and Ed Howker, journalist and author of Jilted Generation: How Britain has Bankrupted its Youth.
