SOLD OUT. On Thursday 8 December, our drinks editor, Jonathan Ray, and business editor, Martin Vander Weyer, hosted an informal wine-laden Christmas lunch in the Spectator boardroom.

Jonathan presented a wide selection of fine bottles suitable for Christmas and Martin chatted about the business concerns of the day, highlighting what to look out for in 2017, especially in the light of Brexit.

Jonathan and Martin happily answered guests’ questions over a delicious three-course festive wine club lunch provided by Forman & Field and read from and discussed Martin’s delightful book Any Other Business: Life in and Out of the City and the late Simon Hoggart’s classic Life’s Too Short to Drink Bad Wine, which Jonathan had recently updated and revised.
