Description:
Join us in the Spectator boardroom on Friday 9 November 2018 for the next in our series of Spectator Winemaker Lunches with Ostiane Dürrbach from the legendary Provencal wine estate: Domaine de Trévallon.
Eloi Dürrbach a Parisian architect (and godson of Picasso) gave it all up to make wine in the south of France, planting his first vines in 1973. What is now Domaine de Trévallon might officially only be a humble Vin de Pays but it boasts a formidable reputation and its wines are as sought after by collectors as they are by connoisseurs.
Ostiane – Eloi’s daughter – will present her remarkable wines in cahoots with Jason Yapp, the ebullient proprietor of Yapp Brothers. After a sparkling aperitif, Ostiane will show the 2016 Domaine de Trévallon Blanc followed by the 2001, 2009 and 2015 Domaine de Trévallon Rouge whilst we enjoy a cold, four-course lunch provided by Forman & Field.
And, in something of a coup, Jason Yapp has persuaded Ostiane to make 20 keenly priced 3 bottle boxes available to those who come to the lunch.
This is a rare opportunity to sample the iconic and scarce wines of Domaine de Trévallon with a member of the Dürrbach family on her first-ever visit to London, so book now to avoid disappointment.
