English wine has come of age. There is no question that both our still and sparkling wines are now world class and, with over 770 vineyards planted across some 3,500 hectares (quadruple the area of twenty years ago), there is no shortage of fine vino being made in these islands.

Chapel Down, near Tenterden, Kent, is generally acknowledged to be our leading producer and winemaker Josh Donaghay-Spire and chief commercial officer, Mark Harvey, will be our guides as we taste three multi-award-winning, terroir-driven wines from their Kit’s Coty vineyard high in the North Downs, namely the 2018 Kit’s Coty Estate Bacchus, the 2017 Kit’s Coty Chardonnay and the sparkling 2015 Kit’s Coty Blanc de Blancs.
