Rupert Murdoch is one of the most influential media magnates in modern history. Through his distinctive character and unparalleled command of conservative media, he has shaped the political narratives through which millions understand the world.

But how did he reach a position of such unprecedented influence? What did Murdoch see that others didn’t? And has he changed journalism in ways that will endure?

The Spectator is joined by Lachlan Cartwright, founder of Breaker Media, contributing editor to Vanity Fair and former reporter for Murdoch-owned newspapers including the Sun and the New York Post, and Eliana Johnson, editor-in-chief of the Washington Free Beacon. These two guests with first-hand experience of Murdoch’s empire will reveal who he really is, who today’s true agenda-setters are – and what comes next.

Your ticket includes sales tax and refreshments. You must be 21+ to attend this event. By purchasing a ticket to this event, you are registering for our events newsletter (you can unsubscribe at any time).

Doors will open from 6pm. Discussion starts 7pm. Event ends 8.30pm.
