Join Test Match Special commentator Daniel Norcross as he discusses a career that has taken him from earning a living from pub quiz machines to broadcasting on the most iconic cricket programme ever. He’ll tell us what was unusual about Geoff Boycott when he opened his hotel room door, what he made Viv Richards do in a village hall in Nottinghamshire, and why Jonathan Agnew met him in a King’s Cross pub wearing a disguise (Aggers, not Daniel).

Interviewed by Spectator writer Mark Mason in this relaxed session in the Spectatorgarden, Daniel will reveal what to look for when you’re buying a Hawaiian shirt, and why his WhatsApp profile photo shows him with James Anderson lying on a bed (Anderson, not Daniel).

In keeping with the current spirit of English cricket, free alcohol will be provided, and there may well be a visit to the pub afterwards.
