Description:

The Spectator’s Year in Review returns – bigger and better than ever before. In an evening of unmissable entertainment, editor Michael Gove will be joined by Spectator writers, columnists and contributors to look back at the most memorable moments of 2026: from the weird and wonderful, to the funny and tragic – and everything in between.‍

‍

What to expect?

· The evening will kick off with a live, interactive quiz hosted by The Spectator’s trivia writer, Mark Mason, with prizes up for grabs.

· Michael Gove will then chair a series of rotating panels.

· Each panel will unpack every aspect of 2026. They’ll cover the dramas and disasters of Westminster, the cultural controversies defining the year and the upheavals that shook global politics.

Michael Gove will be joined by political editor Tim Shipman, deputy editor Freddy Gray, columnist Matthew Parris, deputy political editor James Heale, political correspondent Noa Hoffman, economics editor Michael Simmons, features editor Will Moore, executive editor Lara Prendergast, commissioning editor Lara Brown and Spectator contributors Prue Leith, Matthew Parris and Rachel Johnson.

There will also be special video appearances from Rory Sutherland, advertising executive, author and The Spectator’s Wiki Man columnist, and journalist and parliamentary sketchwriter Quentin Letts.

The Year in Review is in partnership with Raymond James.
